So, to the second album review of the week (and the last), this is the masterpiece The Lightmaker by French outfit, Nine Skies, featuring another dizzying array of guests.

This album is as good as our genre gets. Enjoy the review at https://lazland.org/album-reviews-20...the-lightmaker

Another really good review, which will have me buying The Lightmaker when it's released. Thank you!

It has been a busy night tonight on www.lazland.org - this because the rest of the week will be even busier and I probably won't have time to post any more reviews, although you never know!

The Video of the Week is a single from the forthcoming album by the exceptional Beatrix Players.

The Music News Page has been updated with news of the new album by D'Virgilio, Morse & Jennings, the new Dim Gray lineup, a new album by the wonderful Judie Tzuke, The Watch Plays Genesis in Llandrindod Wells, and I am extremely happy and proud to give you all news of the new project involving Thomas Szirmay, aka The Prog Rogue, entitled Enigmatic Sound Machines - damned good electronica it is - there is a video on the page for you to watch.

And if that wasn't enough, we also present a brand new album review. Classic progressive rock from Yorkshire outfit Materialeyes - Inside Out is a classy album, and a video and track are embedded in the review to prove it!

All can be viewed by going onto my homepage and clicking on the relevant links.

    Enjoy!

Contrary to the last news release, there has been time for another new album release. You lucky people!

It is a good 'un, too. Strings From The Edge of Sound by Italian outfit, Karmamoi, this is a fantastic fusion of classical symphonic music and prog rock.

As ever, go to the homepage at www.lazland.org to get the link!

Quite a busy night on the website tonight. As ever, simply pop along to www.lazland.org and navigate the homepage and click on the relevant links for:

    1. Video of the Week is a beaut from Tiger Moth Tales ahead of the new album release next month
    2. Music news page updated with TMT pre-order details, new album from Ozric Tentacles, and the next Pendragon VIP Weekend
    3. An updated review of Leo Carnicella's wonderful 2022 release, Super-Sargasso Sea
    4. A brand new album review, The Swan Chorus from Liverpool, and their Achilles and the Difference Machine. Definitely one for lovers of classic progressive rock and those of you who are not altogether convinced that Phil Collins is responsible for the degradation of the entire western world

    As ever, please do enjoy.

A busy old night tonight on www.lazland.org a night I have deemed as Electronica Thursday.

We have two reviews. Enigmatic Sound Machines debut Telepathic Waves (and you WILL know one of the participants!) and Data Noise Floor, the project by David Pena who has appeared with Built for the Future.

The former is a melodious affair, the latter experimental. Why not head over and listen and tell me what you think?

Loads of music goodness tonight on www.lazland.org

We have a marvellous Video of the Week from The Emerald Dawn. The News Page features details of gigs by Steve Hogarth of Marillion and Nine Skies/Wedingoth, whilst we also had time to upload reviews of new albums by Ed Zero & Elder Caius. If you have never heard of either, well that is pretty much the whole point of my website - to promote new music which deserves a wider audience without corporate interference or annoying adverts. A cultural read like what you used to get!

As ever, please do enjoy and feel free to provide any feedback.

On Thursday, I will be venturing out for a rare gig - Karnataka in Cardiff, and I hope to have a review at the weekend.

It has been a busy night in www.lazland.org

I have a live review of the wonderful Karnataka in my Gig News section.

There is a stunning interview with the incredible musicians of Nova Cascade, who will shortly be releasing The Navigator, their heartfelt tribute to bandmate, Eric Bouillette. The level of detail they go into is astounding, and I am once more blessed to be able to bring it to you. For those of you who are new to my website, the detail in these interviews is quite deliberate. I dedicate my work to those incredible musicians who provide us with intelligent music, not throwaway corporate shite. They deserve a full hearing, and that is what they are given.

Finally, Video of the Week is Steven Wilson. Love him or loathe him, he cannot be ignored, and the new album is imminent.

I am hoping to get a couple of new album reviews out this week as well.

As ever, all links are on my homepage.

    Time for bed, said Zebedee!

A new album review posted this evening, and it is a fine work. Quadrivium by master guitarist Nick Fletcher, which also features his collaborator, a fine drummer, Anika Nilles, Dave Bainbridge, and Tim Harries.

Well worth a look and read. Simply go to the homepage at www.lazland.org and click on the relevant link.
