    From MB on FB:

    Hello.

To answer some of the questions: ProgDay will continue to be on Labor Day weekend. This year that is Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4.

I recently had a 3 hour meeting with the new owner of Storybook Farm.. He is enthusiastic and completely onboard. ProgDay will continue at Storybook Farm.

I have also communicated with Wanda Downey at the Comfort Inn (I’m sure ProgDay regulars remember the wonderful Wanda Downey, and I know she remembers all of you!) and the Comfort Inn University will continue to be the event hotel.

I have not had an opportunity to talk with the hotel about rates. A regular attendee informed me that the old link on the ProgDay site for the “ProgDay rate” does not work. I’m not surprised as it is years old now. So please be aware of that. I will talk with the hotel within the next week to see what rates I can work out. It may be whatever the current rate is, or I may be able to get a modest discount on the price. We’ll just have to see. Regardless, that is where we will be.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm. It is noted and appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Michael

I’d like to know what efforts are being taken to road-test Dave Astley’s vehicle?!

That was a problem in 2017...lesson learned, since then we rented a vehicle. Not sure about making it this year, it all hinges on if and when I get my eye surgery.

I will really miss Chris; always was able to get in at least one pretty good catch-up yack per ProgDay.

^^Yes. Chris, Steve (Progeezer) and Uncle Norm (a fairly recent Progday convert) will be greatly missed by me, and I'm sure that there are others.

Many ProgDay people may not realize what an important role Roger played for the festival over the years. He will be missed for sure.

Is the Comfort Inn in question the Durham-Chapel Hill University location on Mt. Moriah Rd?
