    The Prism—New Live Music Video
Update on Joe Deninzon’s Activities Including Album Release Plans

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius’ “The Prism” is live on all streaming media, including YouTube
    .

The new single and video, “THE PRISM” was recorded live during Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius’ performance at Progstock Festival, October 13, 2019 at Union County Performing Arts Center. Rahway, NJ.

“’The Prism’ is about an evil, corrupt politician,” Joe says. “I wrote this in 2007, and it still applies to whomever you believe it applies to. Lots of choices.”

“The Prism” originally appears on Stratospheerius’ 2012 album, ”The Next World.” “The Prism” will be on Stratospheerius’ upcoming CD/Blu Ray, “Behind the Curtain: Live at Progstock” due out late summer, 2022 on Melodic Revolution Records.

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius are confirmed to perform at Sonic Voyage Fest on April 29th at Olive's in Nyack NY with Brooklyn Raga Massive and an Electric Violin Summit with One More Once (fronted by violinist John Dinklage) on May12th at the Shrine in Harlem, and Maine’s Ganja Grail in Starks, ME this fall.

Outside of Stratospheerius, Joe will be performing in two events at RoSFest April 15-17—a full solo show for the RoSFest’s “Minstrel in the Garden” outside of the Sarasota Opera House, and later that evening joining Dave Kerzner’s All-Star Progressive Rock-band on the main stage with Billy Sherwood (Yes), Fernando Perdomo (Jacob Dylan), Nick D’Virgilio (Genesis, Big Big Train, Spock's Beard), and Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd). Joe reconnects with Dave, May 2-7 for Cruise to the Edge. On May 26, he’s at Madison Square Garden, playing in The Who’s chamber orchestra again!
Recently Joe composed a 5-minute “Klezmer-y” encore piece for classical violinist Rachel Barton Pine and her 9 year old daughter Sylvia’s recent tour of Israel. The work is called “Livroach el Ha’or” which means “Escape to the Light.” He duetted with Emmanuel Bishop for National Down Syndrome Society Gala; Emmanuel is hardly letting his disability stop him; he’s accomplished in music, sports, and languages. Joe took part in an Electric String Summit and the American String Teachers National Conference Panel on electronic effects for strings with some of today’s great string players including Martha Mooke (from David Bowie’s band), Matt Bell Andy Reiner, Robb Janof, and Tracy Silverman.

    THE PRISM
    -Joe Deninzon

YOU’RE SEEING THINGS THROUGH THE WRONG PRISM
AND YOUR PRISM IS JUST A PRISON
AND IF YOU DON’T ADJUST THE MIRROR
    YOU’RE HEADING FOR A HEAD-ON COLLISION

    LIGHTS ON TAKE AN INTERMISSION
YOUR THOUGHTS PLAGUE YOU WITH INDECISION
    SECOND GUESSING YOUR STATED MISSION
WHILE WE DON’T HAVE A POT TO PISS IN

    PUT IT OFF TIL TOMORROW
    WE’RE STILL DROWNING IN SORROW
BREAK IT ALL AND YOU BORROW
    PUT It OFF TIL TOMORROW

YOU’RE SEEING THINGS THROUGH THE WRONG PRISM
AND YOUR PRISM IS JUST A PRISON
TAKE A KNIFE TO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM
YOU’RE BREAKING UP THE HOUSE WE LIVE IN

YOU TRY TO SELL US ON YOUR BIG VISION
BUT YOUR VISION IS JUST DIVISION
WHAT YOU PREACH IS A FALSE RELIGION
    NO INTELLECT OR INTUITION

    PUT IT OFF TIL TOMORROW
    WE’RE STILL DROWNING IN SORROW
BREAK IT ALL AND YOU BORROW
    PUT IT OFF TIL TOMORROW

Joe's at the Shrine Thursday night, May 12. More info here:

Joe Deninzon is back in New York City/New Jersey after two incredible progressive rock festivals—at both RoSFest and Cruise to the Edge. He was hired to play in Dave Kerzner’s All-Star Band along with Yes bassist Billy Sherwood, drummer Nick D'Virgilio (Genesis, Spock's Beard, Big Big Train), singer Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones), and guitarist Fernando Perdomo (Echo in the Canyon, Jacob Dylan, Beck). (He’s also on two tracks (so far) on Dave’s upcoming album, “The Traveler.) Joe ended up playing with a range of people every day on the Cruise, and he enjoyed solo set of songs performed with looping at RosFest.

This Thursday, May 12, Composers Now and the Shrine are present Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius and One More Once (featuring Rush’s violinist John Dinklage) for an Electric String Summit. The fun starts at 10 pm. The Shrine is at Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. and 133/134th Street.

Recently Composers Now featured Joe as their December artist in its Impact Series. Joe talks about some of his various compositions, from classical to Latin to rock here youtube.com/watch?v=SymV7Pl62Gw.

This weekend—Friday and Saturday, from noon till 2 pm, Latin-Classical string quartet Sweet Plantain performs at the NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx for their “Music For Lilacs” two-day celebration. Joe’s in this unique classical group.

Another special composition of note is that classical violin virtuoso Rachel Barton Pine and her daughter—Sylvia played “Klezmery” duet, “Livroach el Ha’or,” which means “Escape to the Light.” Rachel commissioned him to write a comparative concept piece about his family’s experiences as Russian Jewish Refugees and Russian Jewish refugees who came to Israel.

On May 24, Joe’s playing with the Who in their orchestra at Madison Square Garden.

Joe’s finished mixing and mastering our upcoming live album/Blu-Ray “Behind the Curtain: Live From ProgStock,” which is out this fall. He and Stratospheerius close to finishing the recording of our next studio album, which has great prog artists including Saga’s Michael Sadler, multi-instrumentalists Rachel Flowers and Fernando Perdomo.

Great because of the intimacy of the Beer Garden and his contributions to the Dave Kerzner band. Im normally in MD and we have the Orion Studios as a small venue hosting prog artists. Hope to see Joe & Stratospheerius there some day, now that they are starting shows again this fall.
