Artefactron - symph prog band from Mexico

Did a quick search and didn't see any mention of these guys so far. I don't know much about them, other than that they hail from Mexico and their 2022 album that just came out is really, really nice. I get a bit of a PFM vibe from it, and also some Genesis and maybe even a bit of Tempano.

Give it a try if you're in the mood for some solid retro symph stuff, with Spanish vocals.

Oops... Guess it was poor form to not include a link of some kind. I'll blame it on my being up late last night...

Weird how they posted each track individually...

Yeah I agree. Hopefully they will fix that eventually.

I've listened a few times and there aren't any weak tracks IMO. I picked up the CD from Wayside yesterday. Thought there might be some folks here who would enjoy it too.

YouTube often does that with albums (posting the songs individually, that is). Anyway, this is a very nice surprise, aith01. Thanks much for sharing!!

Just wanted to give this thread another bump, as I was listening to this CD today and really think some folks here would like it. It has a nice spring/summer vibe to it, IMO.

I'm busy with other things tonight and tomorrow night, but hopefully I'll remember to give this a listen.

very strong symphonic rock. I've heard so much of this style over the years that I'm now really picky and hard to impress. but these folks maintain compositional quality and interest over the course of the whole CD, and would have been strong contenders for a NF slot.

Very nice; I will pursue this band with great enthusiasm. Thanks for the alert, aith01.

No slam on anyone who does this, but you get more clicks on the channel this way than if you post the full album alone. It is a kind of optimization process.

Really lush harmonies and some very fluid rhythms in the drumming. Very impressive stuff, I'll have to check out more.
