11 games and 5 mil fine. I'd think the Browns would just tank the season. Get some picks for the next season and start fresh next season.

Houston holds their first round pick, so that approach would only upgrade on the margins.

Well I'm a Seahawks fan so I'm duty bound to watch until I'm fed up, but I have the volume off and the music on.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

if the Seahawks struggle and Wilson kills it in Denver, Seattle fans will call for Carroll's head.

The water bug wide receiver from the New Jersey Generals of the USeFuL, who was the league MVP, is wrecking the Chargers in tonight's pre-season game. He's very fast, and very good, and will make the Cowboys 53 man roster.

Is anyone watching “Hard Knocks” this year? As a fifty plus year Honolulu true blue Lions fan I am loving it. Dan Campbell has me drinking the cool aid again. Detroit vs. Everybody baby………………

Not sure what you mean? Goff is the solid starter and although he had a mediocre year last year, he had very few options around him to throw the ball too. I still think he is capable of being the man. Blough and Boyle are battling it out for #2.

I'm afraid you're right. However, the Lions don't have that air of window closing quickly that the Browns do.

Goff isn't the man, and I'd bet the FO knows it. I expect the Lions to be angling for a high draft pick to use on a quarterback.

The Browns are actually one of the youngest teams in the league, so if they can manage the cap, the window should be open for a good while yet.

Farewell, Lenny Dawson. A player I liked quite a bit when I was a kid. His launches to Otis Taylor were the stuff of legend, especially against the Raiders or Dolphins.

    et.
If Goff falters this year I could see that happening, but I cannot imagine Campbell tanking on purpose. I am still of the opinion that if Goff has better receivers around him that he can get the job done.

I'm not sure they'll have to tank, as such. Even a couple key injuries could move them near the top of the draft.

I agree. Goff was a serviceably decent QB with the Rams, but just couldn't get them over the hump.
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
