Day-um. Tyreek Hill to the Fins for multiple draft picks. He's gotta be thrilled, going from Mahomes to Tua.

Damn.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally

Why? Didn't the Chiefs pay him?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

According to the article, the Chefs offered money in the Davante Adams range. He turned it down, so unable to come to an agreement, they gave him and his reps an OK to seek a trade. His choice was the Fins, and they were willing to extend him and make him the top paid WR in the League.

I am curious how big of a gap there was in between the two contracts.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

^ I saw it somewhere. Don't hold me to it, but I think I saw ~$2M per year over the 3 years of the contract that are guaranteed. (Which is what matters.)
^ That's not that much scratch really.

^ I agree. It's probably more about the idea of being the highest paid WR.
I don’t say this too often, but unless Hill is the most toxic mofo in the clubhouse, the Chiefs made an absolutely colossal mistake. I’m not sure the Dolphins can adequately profit off that, but time will tell.
WANTED: Sig-worthy quote.
^ It's in Tua's lap. I can tell you how I think that's gonna go.
I've hard (sports radio from nowhere near KC or Miami) that he is a fantastic athlete and football player, but not that good of a human. It was that vague so I don't have details, but I do think that if this was a big mistake we would have seen Mahomes either publicly advocating for him or at this point lamenting his departure. (This may have happened and not made the news cycle that reaches me.)

And they black balled Ray Rice.

DeShaun Watson just met the Cleveland media. (Along with GM Andrew Berry and Head Coach Kevin Stefanski.) 40 minutes, only 2 questions about football. I missed most of it.
Longtime NFL official and member of the league's officiating staff Wayne Mackie died Thursday. He was 62.
Mackie spent 10 seasons as an NFL official, joining the league in 2007. He worked eight playoff games, including two conference championships, and served as the head linesman during Super Bowl 50, in which the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers.
The NFL officiating Twitter account paid tribute to Mackie on Friday, calling him, "One of the kindest, nicest, most genuine individuals any of us have ever known."

He's being ripped by some of the national, sports radio, talking heads. He definitely should be suspended for 6 or 8 games (imo). I heard some clips of the press conference.
And now, what do they do with Baker Mayfield? I kinda feel bad for the kid but he needs to grow up a bit. Maybe this experience will cause him to mature a bit.
And Jimmy G. is still a 49er, who's GM indicated that have not received any offers for him??? He's a serviceable back-up and gotta be worth a 3rd or 4th rd pick.

That's the funny thing. Teams don't wanna pay $18.8M when they know the Browns have to dump him. Rumors are the Seahawks and Steelers want him. If I was the Browns management, I'd pay him to sit on the couch, forbid him entry to all team facilities, and wait for teams to come to me. Trading deadline. It's a calculated risk, but things have a way of forcing people's hand.
