BTW, I see many articles claiming what arrhythmia Hamlin had, but not one thing directly from his doctors.
Fatalities in the sport of football are rare but tragic events. A total of 20 deaths among football players during the 2021 football season were collected by NCCSIR: 4 traumatic injury deaths, 13 exertional/medical (indirect) deaths, and 3 non-football/non-exertion related deaths.
Ravens Bengals first tie breaker is head to head record if they have the same division record. Who knows what the NFL will decide.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I'm one of the 212.
Not pro or anti vax, but myocarditis should be part diagnosis regimen for cardiac cases.

From the NY Times, 10:57am ET:
How is Hamlin now?
The Bills said on Thursday morning that Hamlin’s health was improving, though he was still in critical condition.
“Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours,” the team said in a statement on Twitter, attributing the update to doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. “While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.”
What caused the cardiac arrest?
It is not yet known why Hamlin’s heart stopped. But cardiac experts said the blow to his chest may have sent his heart into an arrhythmia. That injury is unusual: The chest must be struck in a brief moment — about 20 milliseconds — while the heart is relaxing.
What to Know About Damar Hamlin’s Injury
“The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the white zone."
They said on Morning Joe this morning that Hamlin is awake. They didn't say if he is still on a respirator or not.
If needed the NFL will likely go to the COVID rules they adopted in case of unequal regular season lengths.
Those rules are already in public domain.
From the league's "Emergencies and Unfair Acts provisions in the Policy Manual for Member Clubs: Game Operations," according to the NFL rule book.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/w...and-best-path/
"The manual states that if a game is suspended without a winner, Goodell would have the discretion to treat the game as a tie or determine the teams' records based off winning percentage.
"If a game is canceled, a team's standing in its division or in its conference (e.g. qualifying as a wild card in the playoffs or position in playoff seeding) shall be determined on the basis of its final record," the manual reads."

It was interesting to hear the docs say that one of the first things Hamlin asked was "who won the game".
