    Anna Meredith live, London Apr/May

Anna Meredith is doing back-to-back London shows at the Barbican. On 30 April, her and her band are joined by an orchestra for a performance of Fibs, then the next day, she's doing a live score performance to a showing of the film "Eighth Grade". Both selling out rapidly!

Envious...hoping she's able to come back for a 2nd US leg later in the year (can't make her dates this spring sadly).
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

So that's what she did during Covid - wrote out all those pages and pages of score it takes for that to happen.

And, she's touring the States in March.

    :-)

The small print on the Barbican website actually says, "FIBS has been arranged for band and orchestra by Ben Corrigan & Robert Ames." Ames is conducting.

Interesting that she farmed the job out, because she definitely knows how to write for orchestra.
