If you can only make one cd with your favorite music throughout the years

So max 80 minutes of the music that will feel like a soundtrack to your life. Not only prog but whatever style.

Not an easy thing I know. It took me ages to compile mine. I had to go through my collection without mercy and with the knowledge that there will be no space for some of the songs that mean the most to me, simply because they are too long to include on a compilation were every band and solo artist is urging me to give them some of those 80 minutes.

How would yours look like? Looking forward to see them :-)

Since the criteria is a "soundtrack for your life", I picked shorter songs by prog bands and I basically picked one song by each band that introduced me to a new sound or style and expanded my listening into new directions. I also went from the 60's through the 90's and stopped there because I had already accumulated around 80 minutes. From the late 90's onward would have to be a separate disc....

Thanks. Probably spend too much time making the list but it was fun to do. Security is one of my all-time favorite albums which makes it his best in my book. Mr Perfection, I mean Peter Gabriel, polished the notes to well, perfection. Love the drum sound he has on this album, and his lyrics are as always excellent.

I'm still working on my list...

Security is an excellent record, and on some days it might be my favorite PG album overall. So is brilliant though, so it's hard for me to choose. I agree about the drums and lyrics too. Fantastic stuff.
