Weird...i'm listening to the box right now.

thinking that disc 10, the one labeled "Outside Music" might be my favorite so far.

I've been getting a lot of mileage out of the box, its very repeat listenable.

    Me too:
I share the enthusiasm for Art Zoyd: right now I'm listening to CD 4 of the box set that I bought about 3 weeks ago (digital)... what a ride/experience!!

    I lost interest after Berlin
After that one i felt the music changed and the unique balance they had between acoustic and electric changed to mostly electronic
I felt They leaned too heavily on digital technology and lost that edge
Yet revisiting Berlin ( which is a transitional album) and Haxan I found myself enjoying these

And i remember discovering the original album which they re-recorded later in the 80’s
That was quite shocking to hear such a familiar album sounding so bare and dry such presence and punch - amazing

While I didn't exactly lose interest, my enthusiasm started to wane a little after Berlin, like your's, but I continued to collect pretty much everything they put out.

...and similar to you, as years went by I appreciated their "cold electronics" sound more and more and the somewhat minimalist direction they were heading. I wish I saw them perform live but I never made the trip to RIO or other locales

I am enjoying that recent release by Thierry Zaboitzeff quite alot...it has a lot of variation and I like the directions he's moving into musically.

I'll probably put it on tomorrow - it's been staring at me lately.
I just asked Chris Cutler, he said yes it's still in print. So your fave ReR distributor may have a copy or two.

I think Dave, Sanjay and James Grigsby made the cover on James' home computer, back in the days when "home computers" were still pretty rare and exotic things! Maggie Thomas was there too because she always remembers James getting excited about "moving one pixel"....

Well thank you! I've been spinning 'Clay' pretty much every day...gets better and better and better. I love both those early albums equally, both are insanely great. Dave knocked it out of the park compositionally speaking. I need to revisit the two later Cuneiform albums, but my CD player is not hooked up since our entire first floor is being redone. Totally sucks mooseass not having CD or turntable right now. Streaming is saving my bacon.

I keep putting the cover in my CD player but it won't recognise it. Not sure whether to send the album back or look into a warranty claim on my player.

I'm transcribing the image onto a wax cylinder for my Edison. Some tricky stylus work involved. Will report back later.

That makes me a sad panda.

Is there any "make your prog cover with comic sans" generator available?
