Cool, thanks for sharing, Jeff!
For a while there, Stevie was playing drums on his own albums (in addition to just about everyting else except guitars). I know a few really good drummers who list him as one of their influences. The man is a MEGA talent!
Very cool. Thanks for posting that.
I've been on somewhat of a Stevie Wonder binge for the last 40 years or so.
Very cool!
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone
Stevie Wonder was one of the few non-rock artists that I decided to keep when I condensed my CD collection, and I'm glad I did. He's a genius, and his blindness didn't stop from playing both keyboards, drums, and harmonica. Became interest in his music when I saw him on The Cosby Show. He is rock, funk, reggae, and soul.
And, like Emerson, he loved the Yamaha GX-1.
This is a favourite clip of mine too, I showed my kids this to wow them to what a talent the man is. I love so much music across so many boundaries, but there is never a week goes by that I don't visit those classic Stevie albums, and there is no better music if you are feeling in a romantically inclined way.
