Great, it sounds like it will be a good one, and wow, what a great idea.
How do they do the streaming? who is the carrier? I'd love to order tix and watch it Sunday night, but I don't want to have to watch on my PC with my wife.
And my big tv isn't very smart, although I get YouTube through my Blu Ray.

The streaming is being done via Marillion’s The Space streaming service. You don’t have to be a member of the service to get the gig, although you do have to create an account. The filming is by Tim Sidwell who has done the past couple of exceptional dvds deal eased by the band.

It is available for 48 hours after the end of the gig, so Monday night. The Marillion website does, helpfully, have a list of smart tvs which are compatible with the stream. If you have an internet browser on the telly, it should work. I will be hooking up my iPad to the tv via Apple AirPlay, but I think you can use an Amazon device if you have one of those.

Only £20, and a bargain. I saw them in Cardiff last week, and they were on top form, so if you can get it, highly recommended, although there is a warning on the site that certain countries might block the internet connection, so I would check if The Land Of The Free enables this.

Inspired by this concert, we loaded Live from Royal Albert Hall last night and enjoyed it a lot. Only second time we've watched it, and the first time I think I was so overwhelmed by it, I put it away on the shelf.
What a great show. It was wonderful to see Marillion finally play a venue that is as big as their talent and live performance.
Watching it I couldn't help but think they are now in the top tier of artists like Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, etc.

The Marillion show was about as good as a livestream can get. Like watching a Blu-ray in terms of AV quality. Virtually glitchless, plenty of bandwidth, exceptional camerawork, excellent sound.

Steve Rothery has refined his art to a point beyond perfection. Pete, Ian, and Mark are also fantastic, but Rothery is on another plane. As for h, well, he’s him more than ever. Kind of amazing how he can sound like he’s torn his voice to shreds one minute, and the next sound perfect.

I could not stop wondering how many of those maskless, singing, shouting people packed shoulder to shoulder will be sick in a week. The crowd shots sort of put a damper on things for me.

But a fine show of h-era spanning music.

It was an utter triumph. Quite superb quality.

As rdclark said, Rothery was on top form, but, in truth, they all were. A couple of voice break moments from h, but it has been the strangest tour of all time, and he nailed 99% of it.

As for getting sick in a week, they will all be like me last week in Cardiff. We couldn’t give two hoots. We came to see a tremendous band who just keep getting better and better.

RE: COVID, I know people who've seen most of the shows on this tour, and I haven't heard of anyone getting covid. I hope people stayed healthy. It's a good test case... Why were the audience shots a downer? Because you were worried they'd get sick, or just because you'd prefer it without audience shots in general? I think they wanted to shoot it like any of their other concert films, so it's suitable for later selling on Blu-Ray.

I just checked - prerecorded last Wednesday, according to someone on Fish's facebook page. Kind of disappointing. I guess the description was accurate though!

I just couldn't not think about COVID and aerosols every time there was a shot of all those tightly-packed people singing and shouting. It was distracting to me. It doesn't help that I don't much enjoy rock-concert audiences anyway, but at least Marillion tends to mix the audience lower in their live recordings than many other bands do. I particularly hate that one guy who's at every show who has to whistle during quiet moments.

I would have loved to watch this but unlike (I guess) so many others I can't just set this moment or the next aside and watch. I need more time and 48 Hrs. does not cut it for me, so I guess I'll wait for a DVD. Really I like the product in my hands anyway and if there's anything I have learned it is patience.

Re:Covid. Most of us live in countries where social distancing and masks are still in place. In fact, the UK is one of the only countries where they aren't mandatory anymore. It seems very strange to us. I had the same feeling when I traveled to Leeds to see Genesis. My friend and I were probably the only ones to wear masks in the arena. Yet it would seem that Covid cases are not on the rise in the UK despite the removal of the restrictions.
