Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals - very nice. Actually, everything was quite decent.

What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
SPOILER: The Seconds Out arrangement of Cinema Show, unlike Hackett.
I got an email from TicketBastard with some GOOD news: Randy McStine has been added as opening the NYC shows at Iridium!
Nice! Shank Hall is a cool little room. I played there last August with my PG tribute band. Mr. Keneally is rockin a Brand X tee.
Doesn't look like tonight in Kent is going to be a sell out, but the assembled geezers are enthusiastic.
Thanks, Jed.
No, the Keswick is somewhere in Eastern PA as far as I've always understood. This was in Kent, which is southeast of Cleveland, a small college town where the Ohio National Guard shot and killed 4 unarmed war protesters in 1970, but no one was ever held to account for it.
The concert was tremendous. The level of musicianship on the stage was incredible, and both the arrangements and performances were really impressive. I could go into more detail, but spoilers would be dropped. I had a wonderful time, and would encourage any Prog-Rock fans to catch this show if it comes anywhere near-ish. As far as it not selling out, I'm not good at gauging crowd size, but I'd say between 100 and 150. Kent is a college town, and in order to have filled the hall (which isn't terribly large,) there would have had to be a nice portion of the audience who were students. I'd bet there were more Profs there than students. I would expect that the audience would have been larger if they had booked the Beachland or even the House Of Blues in Cleveland. Kent is around 45 minutes away from Cleveland, and that might have discouraged some from making the trip. Die hards like me wouldn't be bothered by it, but I wouldn't think that most would be of the same mind. Cleveland has always been a pretty good Prog town over the years too, so maybe.
I checked the ticket availability for the venues they are playing in NJ/Philly area and there are PLENTY of seats still available at the Vineland, Newton and Sellersville shows still. None of these will sell out. The Iridium in NYC might be similar, but you can't see open seats for that venue. I am leaning towards going to the Vineland show mainly because it is on a Saturday night and no work the next day and at this point, you can get 2nd Row center on back. I wouldn't think anything badly about this - they are a new venture and a tribute band that is not playing one particular band, so that is different and may be proving a difficult-to-promote endeavor for the promoters (IF they are promoting this show at all - I live within driving distance of three of those venues and have yet to come across any sort of sponsored ad or promo. I only know about this tour from PE.) Poor turnouts can make it challenging to keep moving forward and booking future shows, but hopefully they find a way to make it keep working - the live videos I have watched sound great!
I knew this was something not to be missed, which is why I bought a ticket to Iridium early on. Hopefully I get a good seat (there aren't too many bad seats there). They actually had two tiers of seat prices and I went for the more expensive one, and I'm going stag(!), so chances are good for them sticking me in a single spot at a good table. Hopefully not next to anyone insane or offensive. Or has to let everyone around them know that THEY know all the songs as soon as they start - because WE ALL WILL.
^ Quite true. Sadler even made a Name That Tune joke at the start of the show.

^ Nice pics! How was it? (Without spoilers please!)
If I had to describe it with one word, I would say "furious." Classic 70s Prog-Rock played with break neck abandon, but tight as a dead kitten's eyes. Stop on a dime and transition to another furious attack. It's effin' exhilarating. Everybody knows what a monster Keneally is, but Ryo hung right with him, and the interplay was a sight to behold. The Rhythm section is really ace too, and Jonathan's kit has all the bells (literally) and whistles that you'd hope a Prog drummer would have. I was unfamiliar with Matt Dorsey, but he's a fine player too. Sadler did a nice job on vocals. The "medleys" were mostly instrumentals sewn together seamlessly, and worked well. Trust me, Jed. You will enjoy this. Hope you got a good seat.
I was at the kickoff show in Edwardsville, IL (St Louis).
The level of musicianship is fantastic. This is an action, adventure ride of epic proportions.
One thing that was really cool is Michael Sadler is a great vocalist and does fantastic with all of the material while still sounding like himself and not some tribute singer trying to mimic Jon Anderson or Wetton.
When Ryo did his Key-tar solo in the audience he came right up to me and got in my face, my wife tells me "your camera didn't record it". Goddammit!! Good golly can that man play the keys!!
It was a ton of fun hearing Mike play in a more "traditional" prog setting, he killed it!
What a fun show, i hope they keep at this whenever time allows.
I would be really good with the idea of them doing songs from each member's individual careers in the vein of Ringo's All Stars.
Sounds like I’ll have a very good time! I’m going to bring something for Jonathan Mover to sign for my Marillion collection. Did anyone see band members hanging out and signing things, or did they retreat into their hopefully Covid-free bubble? I’d like quickly meet Sadler too, if possible.

^ Everybody needs some recreation! And parks.
They did do a sort of meet and greet, all band members except Ryo were seated at a table masked, seemed very gracious to fans, talking and signing stuff. I was kind of surprised attendees weren't required to be masked going through the line.
