Ian is releasing his first new music under the Tull moniker in 19 years I guess it is since The Christmas Album in "The Zealot Gene", pre-orders will be going live on November 5th for a release date sometime in February 2022. Having everything ever released by Ian/Tull I'll definitely give it a listen but based on TAAB 2 and HE I'm not expecting another original TAAB or anything remotely similar, haha.

Some teasers have been posted on Facebook. The classic Tull flute sound is there, but Ian's voice sounds really bad--weak and hoarse. The snippet of vocal melody we hear is simplistic and chant-like, but maybe that will sound better in context.

It is not bothersome but Ian has completely found a new home with this melodic/folky vocal pattern he has been using since TAAB 2 and Homo Erraticus that I find less appealing than the rock vocal tone that I so much admired from the 70's and 80's. A matter of opinion. This could be one of the reasons he had Ryan O'Donnell alternating lead vocals for the TAAB I & II tours.
I have been listening to Jethro Tull since 1971 and I could easily identify blindfolded if an Ian Anderson vocal is from the 70's from the one he sings now. I prefer the older one but he's too old to rock 'n' roll
