Presented by one of my favorite synth demonstrators, Tim Shoebridge(he also does some very nice music).
Some things I never knew before about one of my favorite musical instruments, the Mellotron.
Hope you enjoy.

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
Thanks for sharing. I knew most of the stuff from books like The Mellotron Book by Frank Samagaio and Mellotron by Nick Awde, but it's nice to see it in a documentary.
Speaking of books and docu's, Dianna Dilworth, director of the film Mellodrama: The Mellotron Movie, told me a couple of years ago she's working on a book too. In fact Amazon had it on their site, although it still isn't published yet.
Enjoyed it. A few quibbles: The album's title is NOT "In The Court of King Crimson"; "deceipt" is a VERY obsolete spelling for the word "deceit"; "Interlude" was a really mediocre piece of music, though "Introspective" was quite nice and "New Beginning" was okay. "Dive Straight In" was probably the worst piece of music I've ever heard posted on the PE site.
glad you enjoyed it John.
I didn't know Harry had his work stolen from him by Fransen...what a d*ck.
Although for Mellotron lovers, it worked out in the end with the Bradley Brothers being involved.
I personally think the Chamberlin(aka Mellotron) would've made as big an impact in music as it did.
I've had my eye on one of those, or the larger mini version, for quite some time.
Thanks for checking it out and adding this great information.
Good to know about.
thanks for your thoughts.![]()

That's a really good video. I realise I knew absolutely nothing about the origins of the Chamberlin and the Mellotron - I had heard of the Chamberlin and knew it used the same technology as the Mellotron but that was it. Thanks for posting.
