I don't know why but I keep getting reminded of Pekka Pohjola with this album. Really nice vibe, I'm liking it a lot.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Also in there are Portico Quartet & Patrick Shiroishi of Corima and Upsilon Acrux.

(Thanks for the correction Steve! You know when you stare at something and know something is wrong and can't work out what?)

    ^^^^ That was great.

One new years resolution for me: Go see Ghost Rhythms live in Paris this year. I can easily sell it as a city trip by train to the wife.

Ghost Rhythms may well be my (belated) biggest discovery of 2021. Within a week of buying their latest, I'd not only bought everything digitally at Bandcamp, but even ordered their first cd.

    What a wonderful band!

Further listening to Spectral Music recently. It is enigmatic and gives up its pleasures slowly. This is some next-level shit, as the kids used to say.

The only sure date we have for now is september 2, we'll play at the Festival Constellations (Paris), which is the "off" of Jazz ŕ la Villette. Any date sooner, I'll tell you.
