New Song Watching the World Go By

In case any one missed this on the SoundCloud Share Thread, I'd thought I'd post the YouTube version featuring the very cool cover art by Stuart Hampton, UK.

My friend and frequent collaborator Marvin Cripps sent some lyrics he'd written recently after coming out of a uh, afternoon power nap(he wrote them down immediately).
I was inspired the moment I read them, and began writing music, and later added lyrics of my own for the closing section of the song.

No prog here, just a fun pop song inspired by the late 60's early 70's.

I'd also like to share some new songs by some very talented PE members who also do music for the love and passion of it in their home studios.
Lots of talent here, and although they aren't famous or well known, their music is a part of who they are.
I hope you check them out and enjoy what you hear. And if you'd like to hear more, please check out their SoundCloud pages.

    Teardrops by BobM
a beautiful piano piece reflecting on the Covid second wave.

The Terminal Man by Joe Bailey
Joe is a wonderful guitarist and song writer. Terminal Man raises questions about decisions and the terminally ill. Heavy subject but the music kicks serious butt!

    Moat by Rare Bird
Moat is a contemporary classical piece written by Renate(Rare Bird). Sit back, relax and let the music speak to you.

The Only Way to Kill the Dead by BobM
Bob's fun view of the Zombie world expressed in a song(the lyrics are wonderful, and posted on SC and I suggest reading them for full impact)

Cool tune Richard....maybe it's just my morning ears but it sounds like you're really building up confidence as a singer which is awesome

Also super cool that you shared these other tracks! Listened and enjoyed them all
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

John, thank you, YOU are awesome! your continued support and comments always makes this whole process even more fun and rewarding.
Thank you about the vocal comment. I hope I'm continuing to grow.
This was a really fun project and there wasn't a whole lot of lyrics to remember and it was within my vocal range which helped. But most of all it was really fun.
I was afraid it might be perceived as too generic, but overall everyone seems to enjoy it, and that's all that matters in the end.

Glad you enjoyed the other Sound Cloud tracks, everyone here has such wonderful music to share.
Hope you have an enjoyable relaxing weekend.

Wow, thanks for the unexpected plug(s) Richard. You are a gentleman and a wonderful musician - not something often seen together.

A gentleman is defined as someone who knows how to play the accordion, and doesn't.

Thank you for your kind words Bob.
All of you are creating some wonderful songs, and everyone is moving so fast, I think they get lost in the fast pace of the internet.
It's one of the reasons I asked admin if we could have a separate forum just for artists to drop a new song and they wouldn't get lost if a thread is busy, like it's set up now.

So, we kind of have to work it out with the system we've got.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have about 5 Zombies at my door wanting to eat my face. (love that bit at the end of the song, you uh, do that a bit too well).

    Thanks for the plug.

Love the cover-art. One should turn it in a kind of short animation. Not to much, but perhaps the river flowing, the couple dancing and the bird flying.

Thanks Renate, more than happy to share your link.

I exchanged emails with the young artist from the Uk, as well as shared my YouTube link.
I wanted to share with him how his art was being used since he made it available for free on Pixabay.

A very nice young man from the UK who is a self described hippie and has a blog featuring his art.

I like your vision of a animated version, but I have no control over his art, nor the know how to do that.

Really thoughtful lyrics with some clever and unexpected rhymes, nice of Marvin to send them! The musical soundscape you've made for it really captures the mood of dreamy wistfulness and slight melancholy in the lyrics.
