For the first time in a long time I listened to Tangerine Dream’s Rubycon. It sounded great!!
On it is the best version of Difficult to Cure, with full string orchestra. Watching the VHS tape, it's clear Blackmood re-recorded some guitar parts for the album. Parts he messed up when playing it live.

I'd never heard of this, but I'm listening to some on Spotify now - it sounds quite interesting. How'd you find out about this band? Just curious to know where it slipped through the cracks of my progdar! (I'm guessing it's not Rolf Ulrich Kaiser of Krautrock fame.)
Very good! I listened to it again this morning. In some ways the tracks are all different than what they've done before, but it still sounds like The Tangent.

Rubycon is an outstanding electronic masterpiece. I used to listen to it on earphones in the 70's with a 6 pack of Carlsberg Elephant Beer waiting in the freezer. Pure heavenly delight (although I could never finish all 6 of those monsters and had to thaw them out slowly when I awakened, the record having run its course on side two).Me too last night...before I saw this
