The Tangent are great! One of the best modern prog-rock projects around IMO.

Agreed. I also really like the banner they made for their FB group.

    Today (so far):

Steve Hackett - Under a Mediterranean Sky
Clearlight - Les Contes Du Singe Fou (I think this translates as “Tales of the Mad Monkey”; of course, it’s an ape on the cover, not a monkey. I would know!)
Steely Dan - The Royal Scam (again!)
    Gryphon - Raindance
    Steely Dan - Katy Lied
    Rare Earth - Ecology
Rare Blend - Sessions (I really like this! I listened to Rare Earth first by accident! )
    Al Stewart - Time Passages

    Karnivool - Sound Awake

Both are a bit on the heavy side but I actually like the Mr. Hyde quite a bit more (it is instrumental though). First listens for both.
Rare Blend - Sure do like it

Most Clearlight records have music cut into the lead out groove and inner ring of side 2. On a turntable without auto-return, that music plays in a loop until the listener intervenes.

Did you pull that out because of the Steely Dan thread being revived? I just played Countdown to Ecstasy.

I would love to hear a play-by-play of the Exposure set, particularly your take on the live Frippertronics.

I'd second that desire. Still on the fence as to whether to start saving up for that set.

The first three discs of the Exposure Box are all wall to wall Frippertronics. The 3rd disc is live. They're all really enjoyable.
