I put my finger on the Phil Collins drum sound: tune all the heads low, especially the snare. Then hit them all hard.

Jan & Dean - Save for a Rainy Day (Sundazed expanded edition)

With loads of "mellotrons" as the liner notes say. Probably more likely a Chamberlin as the record was recorded in 1966.

Try to post on PE somewhere what your impressions of the show and the scene at the Beacon are like - enjoy! Hope your son likes it!

Fish played at Cropredy? Apparently they've decided to expand the scope rather than just recycle past performers.

I don't know much about Cropredy, but it seems like for a while now they've had at least one more rock or prog rock band performing. Not sure how consistently, but I think there have been more than only the scaled-one.
