So are you a member of this band? a friend? etc
I just visited Groovy Duck Studios, and John sounds like a good engineer.
Might be nice if you post something new like this, to add some "about" information about the band, studio, etc.
I always find that stuff interesting, and to me it humanizes this whole "new music" or band thing.
And I'm sure some of my other recording geek friends here would as well.

    Thank you for asking!

I'm the songwriter, and in this instance the singer. I don't generally sing though

John is a long time friend of mine, and we've been writing music together for about 15 years. Most of the time I'll write a song and create a raw demo in my studio and e-mail it to him. I'll then go to Groovy Duck and work face-to-face to flesh out the final version.

I'd vouch for John's services 100%. He has a great knack for taking a raw idea and turning it into something polished. He's a great guitarist and bassist as well.

We're releasing a new song in a few days, so I'll post the information you suggested when I post that new song. Very nice of you to offer your suggestions, it means alot!

Watched this again, love the story. Something about the old West that always draws me.
I think your vocals sound great on this...and you and John's lyrics make for a good story.

That's a very well done video. Are these local actors, or how did you get such a good production for the song?

Thank you! I wanted to write a story about an old gunslinger on his deathbed telling his grandkids about his days as an outlaw. I tried to give a bit of a cinematic quality - both to the lyrics and the music I wrote.

I appreciate the kind words regarding my voice. I actually asked the other band members to take the lead vocal, but they left mine on.

For the video, John just used public domain clips he found and pieced them together. He's really good at that, for sure - I wouldn't have the patience.

Your feedback is very nice to hear, I know many of us feel these songs get released into a "vacuum" sometimes.
