    Love this, as I do the Squid and Black Country, New Road albums. I'm waiting for the vinyl to arrive.

    Almost retro to my ears. Which is not the case for BCNR, or BM.

    Here's another winner for you in a similar vein: Dry Cleaning "New Long Leg" on 4AD. Female vocals that incorporate spoken word. They remind me of Magazine a little bit.

    Another band in this vein that I really like, is A Formal Horse. Excellent female vocals, great proggy/guitar driven compositions. This album was my #2 album of 2019.
