I couldn't believe how scattershot Jameis arm is. Hard to see a team hoisting the trophy with him as the QB.

Russ got his big money contract and ate up cap space, players got injured or signed to other teams, Ken Norton Jr became Defensive Coordinator. These windows can be very small unless your the Pat's and it has eventually caught up to them too.

I seem to recall KNJr was booed out of San Francisco. Guess everyone lands somewhere eventually.

They technically aren’t “my team”. They happen to be the local team I grew up watching. But I disagree with how the owner and GM are managing the team and I resent the slop they put on the field in a stadium bought with taxpayer dollars, yet the revenues all go to the owner. Since I have no financial stake in the team and since they don’t listen to me and since I disagree with their philosophy of how to win in football while putting a good, entertaining product on the field, I have zero qualms.

Yeah, true. Me and my belly aching about my teams. Nothing compared to the Lions fan base. But I admire their loyalty.

Suffering would be being made to watch soccer.

That's pretty bad. The Lions have never made it to the Super Bowl and have only won 1 playoff game in the Superbowl era. They did win the NFL championship pre-Super Bowl in the mid 50's, but that was before I was born. So I guess Newcastle might have the win on this one. But, the Lions are definitely the most pathetic team in U.S. Sports.

A close second would be hearing us Yanks call it "soccer."

I watched about 30-40 minutes of MLS last night. It was on free TV. Eesh. After the slightest bit of contact there'd be a player on the ground, writhing, screaming, etc. Next play, he's running around like nothing happened. Then the same player gets tangled up,....he's on the ground again....writhing in pain. Rinse, repeat.

    Horrible!

Are there any fans that defend this ridiculous portion of the sport?

    To a degree?

It was as bad as football... that they had to legislate on it this year.... guys like The Running Beard are now struggling to be effective as the "fouls" earned previously are now not called.

The biggest problem the Cards have had this season is sucking in the first quarter or first half, then coming to life in the second. Against a good team like the Packers, that's a loss waiting to happen.

OMG it has. The fling your head back at the slightest contact bugs the shit out of me. I'm a high school ref and NEVER call a foul for someone who does that.... it's just a matter of principle.
