Mark, not sure if it would be of interest to you(not for your project but as a mission in space lover) , but my home studio recorded EP Odyssey, is about the Apollo 10 moon mission and many of the songs have Apollo 10/NASA Mission Control audio sourced directly from the NASA website.
As a young teenager in 7th grade, I remember having my little transistor radio in my locker at school, and when possible, listen to the Alan Shephard and John Glenn space launches. So this album was a labor of love for me. I've always suggested it be listened to as a whole, rather than picking a song.

If you would like the 3 hour audio of the Apollo 10 mission(this is of course the "best of")that I dl'd directly from the NASA Archives, I'd be happy to send it to you.

Anyway, Odyssey EP is on Bandcamp for those who might be interested. I hope you don't mind my posting the link here in your thread, if so, I will happily remove it.

Do you mean the intro on the studio version? That's the band's manager, Peter Jenner, reciting the names of the planets, constellations, galaxies, and stars through a megaphone.

Amin Bhatia's "Interstellar Suite" has radio transmissions between space travelers and mission control, though it's not real.

In Moonbound's "Peak Of Eternal Light" there are some snippets from CAPCOM during the Gemini 5 mission.

First one that came to my mind too together with the opening sequence of Heads In The Sky (which isn't real either - I hope):

Okay, there's only a brief moment with Neil Armstrong, but I loved the theme for The Six Million Dollar Man, which, by the way, currently has six million views.

Doesn't the live version of Camel's Lunar Sea have something, and of course the end of War of The Worlds.
