my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Oooopppppssssie sorry, I posted that in the main forum (which by no means is a problem for me - hopefully it's not for anybody else)
War was always "proggy" for me anyways - at least until 76.

Sorry to hear this. Rest in peace, BB.
RIP. I love the WAR.
One of my all time favorite songs. It's sad day.
He used to own a head shop near me with a little record shop attached. He was an entertaining and very nice guy. RIP
WAR - unusually for a funk band, their focus was on the sound of the whole band, and there was no star singer. They did have a distinctive vocal blend, but it wasn't down to any one guy. Really, their burbling, chugging sound was the star. Also quite a distinctive horn section, consisting of one sax and one harmonica - the latter played by Lee Oskar, who was the only white guy in the band, Danish, and had the biggest Afro.
One of the coolest performances I ever saw was BB with his arm around an older German dressed in traditional lederhosen and doing the song "Why Can't We Be Friends">>>Sunrise Festival-Offenburg 1976
Great band. Had a bunch of WAR albums in the early 70s. Today I only have.....The World is A Ghetto. RIP.
