    Beggs, Holzman, Blundell form Trifecta

    Trifecta - Blundell, Holzman, Beggs

We are thrilled to be releasing our first album with Kscope this Summer and feel very proud of the record. After the last tour with Steven Wilson finished, we had a handful of tracks ready to work on and as we moved through our various separate projects we agreed to work on Trifecta. What does Trifecta sound like? Fission! It’s like Fusion but less efficient and more dangerous!
From Kscope: "Trifecta features 3 of the contemporary music scene’s most lauded and revered musicians – bassist and songwriter Nick Beggs, keyboardist extraordinaire Adam Holzman and completing the line-up, Craig Blundell – one of the world’s most celebrated drummers. Having performed together as part of Steven Wilson’s band, the three would jam together after soundchecks, forming what they referred to as “jazz club” and from these sessions the fledgling ideas for Trifecta were nurtured."

It must be something when Nick Beggs is the most "normal-looking" guy in the picture

    Sounds interesting.

Barbieri, Edwin and Harrison should have done the same sort of thing, but sooner.

I'm intrigued. I like Holzman's fusiony work e.g. with Jane Getter Premonition

Very much looking forward to this, Adam H played a clip from it during a recent interview.

Nobody in that lineup would ever sing. They're too shy.

The fission/fusion description makes it likely this will be an all instrumental affair, unless somebody pops out of the jack-in-the-box with an SM58.

I thought I'd have a look at the comments - surprising how many people are unfamiliar with Nick's sense of humour.
