    Sad news indeed.
Always loved the track Karma from the album Surprise (1980):

I wonder if he ever played with Wadada Leo Smith? I would have liked to promote that tour.

^^^^^That is a great song. I think I have 47 cds by them. I think a couple are SHN remasters. A shame they never played at a festival in the states. Judging by the response most people didn't know who they were. Maybe they should have hosted a game show.

He did play on a cd called W.I.N.S. which would have blown you away.

They should rerelease that album, so hard to get.
Another very good jazz-rock/fusion band Wada was in was ExhiVision

It's possible people confuse Prism with the Canadian hardrockers with the same name.

I am sad to learn that Japanese jazz fusion guitarist Akira Wada, who was known for his work with his band Prism and his side project ExhiVision had died at 28th from sepsis shock and multiple organ failure, he was 64.

ExhiVision was/is awesome, but if you didn't get any of them (there are three) when new, you'll pay through the nose — IF you can find them.

I am late to this news. So sad to hear and yes, he was so young. Rest in peace, one of the true forces behind the Japanese fusion phenomenon. Love everything that he was involved in.
