    BTW, Lou Ottens had also plenty to do with the CD invention (joint Phillips/Sony adventure)... he actually travelled to Japan to meet them and write up the agreement, I heard this w-e. His death was actually fairly big news here, since Phillips is situated in Eindhoven (10 kms away from Belgium) and an important part of their development was in Hasselt (in Belgium's Limburg province).

    Sooooo Lou should be hated by vinyl fans, because he created the two mediums that "killed the vinyl"

    The difference is, the CD is arguably superior in many ways to vinyl. That'll be debated 'till the end of time. The cassette on the other hand is inarguably inferior in almost every way to vinyl.
