Interesting Fripp Tidbit from his Online Diary

    From February 24:

"While preparing salad for supper, a telephone call: Adrian Belewbeloid from Chateau Belew with exciting news of his about-to-be-announced-tomorrow venture. This involves Ade returning to full-on touring life for 15 months. A very funny Belewbeloid comment: If you were thinking of reforming King Crimson without me, this would be a good time! I did mention the FraKctured plan we do have (hobbled by UMG’s ongoing prevarications and blockings); of this my Old Buddy was supportive."

No, that is already known. I was referencing the "FraKctured plan" that Belew was apparently "supportive" of, in his absence. Could it have anything to do with Jakko? Just wondering.

Ironically, after posting this update Fripp ate a tidbit.

I bet it has something to do with Jakko. Jakko mentioned on FB that he was recording some vox for Fripp.

Since Fripp has said that he's retired from touring, could this be another Jakko/Fripp/Collins-type album-only thing, but under the banner of Crimso instead of a "ProjeKct"?

    That's what I'm thinking/hoping for.

I wouldn't mind a series of KC ProjeKCts like the Jakksyk-Fripp-Collins, with various members past and present contributing. Wetton would probably do one if asked.

If he goes that way I'd hope it would be heavier, darker & more industrial.

That is the 2nd mention in the diary of the FraKctured project; the 1st was when RF met p@t backstage at a recent show in England.

It'd be great if Mastelotto were involved, but, really, as has been expressed already, anything recorded in the Crim sphere should be anticipated.

I still want to know what "The Road to Red" is, as mentioned in the other Fripp thread that I opened a few days ago.

Kind of irritating, really. I hate teasing, countdown clocks, etc. Just tell us what it is, don't make us guess.

    Re: Road to Red
Given that the "road to LTIA" contains every live / recording in DGM's possession of that band version; I would anticipate the following:

    - remixed Stereo version of album
    - every live gig they have from 1974 (boot or otherwise)
    - studio session reels ala LTIA set
    - any previously unreleased live footage.

That would be considerably more music than was presented on the Larks' box. This is what I have in my collection (and I have no downloads):
Great Deceiver (four discs, multiple shows)
KCCC #10, Central Park (one disc)
    KCCC #15, Mainz (one disc)
    KCCC #36, Kassel (one disc)
    KCCC #29, Heidelberg (one disc)
KCCC #45, Toronto (two discs, some of the show is available on the GD box)

Hmmm. That's actually not as much as I had assumed if we're not including '73 shows (The Nightwatch and KCCC #41). Though the downloads available through DGM must surely double that number. Still not undoable, I guess.

I'm not sure I'd be a taker on it as opposed to the Larks' box where I did not have a substantial portion of that live material.

Gotta love Fripp and his ongoing Frippery. I have great respect for his Frippliness.

Jakko posted this today on Facebook:
"Working with Robert Fripp today, here at Silesia Sound.
It's going to be tough though.
We've only just heard that 'Girls Aloud' have split!!
Still, we'll just have to be professiaonl about it and muddle through somehow."
