Shame this didnt happen as I missed the guitar on UK's second album despite still thinking it was a great follow-up.

Shure, I missed it too especially when you hear the live-versions of the songs with the quartet. But if Steve was the right guy? Mmm, I don't think so. Maybe he could have done good things on new compositions, but I can't imagine him playing the stuff from the first album live. And he agrees with me![]()
I don't think Hackett would have been good fit. I am happy with Danger Money as it happened. Great album!
"A waste of talent and electricity." John Peel on ELP
Steve Hacket wouldn't have minded to play the same solo every night.
I think that would have been cool!
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound.
I don't like Rock History Music as a channel, but nice comments from Hackett about what it means to be in a group. I also like how normal his room looks!

Very interesting! While it might've been nice to have Steve Hackett replace Allan Holdsworth in U.K., I agree with Steve's assessments that he was enjoying his independence after leaving Genesis & that he couldn't match Allan's technique as a player.
