Didn't realize about the japanese only albums, but as you said it basically counts for not being released at all.

It's the Circle material, but not the 1968 Corea/Vitous/Haynes set which takes up side one and most of side two of the double LP.

Yes, their best album for me too, the debut RtF with a seagull..I love all others they did, but this is such a special album, great compositions and performance is so exquisite

Most of the stuff with Vitous/Haynes rhythm section, apparently, has been used as bonus tracks on CD reissues of Now He Sings, Now He Sobs. According to Wikipedia, only Blues Connotation is missing.

NP: Corea, Clarke & White - Forever on the headphones. This is a killer 2-CD set. Disc one is live and disc two studio, with Ponty and Connors... outstanding! Probably my favourite version of Senor Mouse too.

yes, that album is awesome. Like you said, it is absolutely progressive in the true sense of the word. I havent spun it in a few years but ISTR it was made up of some very long pieces which morphed and changed as they developed. Chick was such a creative force. Amazing album that totally took me by surprise especially since it is a later, 2006 recording.

Chick Corea in Milford Graves band(1960, according to the information provided).Milford Graves is on timbales.I saw another photo last year sometime of the same band minus Pete Yellin(saxophone) and Chick Corea minus glasses.That photo caption said it was taken in 1962.I've been looking for this photo on the net but can't find it.

Chick is a nice segue from Canterbury....he was like the American Canterbury at times

PS...you're correct - that "Senior Mouse" kicks ass! My fav might still be DiMeola's on Casino since I grew up on that album.

It was great, I really enjoyed it. The only thing that I found strange was that some people just left with no goodbye or anything. Seemed a bit odd to me.

I listened to the complete Is Sessions for the first time yesterday. Damn is that stuff sweet. Shame it seems to be oop. Another blue note disappointment.
