I might go with Once Upon A Time In The West instead of Brothers in Arms.

    1) Skateaway
    2) Down to the Waterline
    3) Sultans of Swing

Haven't come close to hearing them all though.

    Skateaway
    Tunnel Of Love
Sultans Of Swing (live, 10 minute plus arrangement, as per Alchemy, Live Aid, etc)

More guitar solos, less singing, Mark.

Edit: Well if everyone's gonna list more than three, than I'm throwing in Telegraph Road and that instrumental prelude they do before Tunnel Of Love on Alchemy.

Sorry but I gotta go with a lot of the same picks as others here

    Sultans of Swing
    Brothers in Arms
    Down to the Waterline

I know Sultans of Swing has been overplayed, but the song is masterfully created, and for anyone old enough to have been around at the time, our first exposure to Marks weaping guitar...!

    chronologically,

    Sultans of Swing
    Telegraph Road
    Brothers in Arms

You know, Camelogue, the old Ian sounds like Mark as time passes theory. Kinda silly, really, since I never made even a vague connection between Dire and Tull. No accounting for tastes.

On sounding like Mark: a vocal performance that has definitely tried and succeeded:

Its a joke. However I'm not the only person out there that thinks Ian had a 'Knopfler' type timbre vocally on Crest of a Knave, especially on "She Said She Was a Dancer."

As a matter of fact I geeked a buddy of mine into thinking that was a Dire Straits song so good call and funny post. I lollered.
