The amusing thing is, in Googling to find an appropriately-snarky comeback, I discovered Algiers IS a reference from Star Trek. Apparently the name of a ship or something. So dammit...that IS kinda/sorta prog
Still no 'trons though, and only 2021 edition Steven Wilson would say nice things about it.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Francois Thollot has a new one (!) just released yesterday - go to the Sherzoo page on Bandcamp, it's called Virtually Spring.
That's interesting, the cover art has changed from what's on the physical CD! But it says Mumia, is there different art for each song or something? Maybe Mumia was released as a single - I'm a little confused by this.
About Caligonaut: I was startled to find that the CD sounds, to me, far superior to listening to the album from Bandcamp or Spotify. I never really notice those differences. Then I had the same experience with the new Tusmorke! The Caligonaut is very well recorded and produced. Jacob Holm-Lupo did the mastering. Noticing that then got me into looking at Hans Frederick Froislie's discography. I didn't know that he and Jacob own Termo Records together.
Here's an awesome new release, from Canadian instrumental, psych/fusion/prog maniacs, Mahogany Frog. I like.

If you're looking for full blown classic symphonic prog then the new Cast "Vigesimus" fits the bill. My personal favorite in this vein is the Noisy Diner's "the Princess of the Allen Keys' which has been mentioned in this thread. I also enjoyed the Artnat "The Mirror Effect" (clever take off on the name Tantra") and If you like the basic light prog ala Camel then maybe the new Lifesigns "Altitude" my be worth listening to.... if you're into the new Kerrs Pink.
1. Transatlantic The Absolute Universe
2. Cast Vigesimus
3. JPL Sapiens Part Two
4. Lifesigns Altitude
5. Kerrs Pink Presence Of Life
6. Caligonaut Magnified As Giants
7. Tusmorke Nordisk Krim
8. Antony Kalugin Stellar Gardener
9. Meer Playing House
10. Liquid Tension Experiment LTE3
