Twins bullpen is even worse. If our two wunderkind front office guys; who picked up Happ, Shoemaker, Robles, and Colomé; keep their jobs at the end of the season there may be a mob with torches and pitchforks at Target Field.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

It was actually 7-2, but still.
It mystifies me while Chapman stays in after the first two walks. I have lost all confidence in Aaron Boone. Far far too many questionable decisions. The list is endless.
Baseball smarts does not equal managerial success. Granted, the bulk of the blame lies in the under-achievers. But, there were serious top-level roster mistakes, and they fall on Cashman. Whoever thought the New York Yankees would field an all-righty lineup?

You’re right it was 7-2. Good catch.
Sooner or later they will question Cashman. Should have happened years ago. On the whole, this team is too right handed, can’t field, can’t run the bases, and has a hard time scoring unless it’s via HR.
Chapman is having some real problems now. I’m confident he will get straightened out, but why Boone was watching again is a mystery.

Also - I get all my Yankee insight from "The Genius Maker" blog run by Steve Wigdor.
Good read for a non Yankee fan like me.

Yeah, this happens to Chapman every year. But his woes tend to return in the playoffs. Of course, I don't expect any playoffs this year.
What gets me about Boone is how he sits players who are hot because they had a pre-scheduled day off. I mean, c'mon. These guys are millionaire pro athletes. Let them play, FFS.

June 26, 1969, Frank Robinson hit back-to-back grand slam home runs (in the fifth and sixth innings) in the Orioles’ 12-2 victory over the Washington Senators at RFK Stadium.
The same runners were on base on both home runs (Paul Blair on first, Don Buford on second and Dave McNally on third).
Robinson is the only Black American Major League Baseball player to ever hit two grand slams in one game.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID PEOPLE IN LARGE GROUPS!
The last place Marlins have a higher run differential than the other four teams in their division. The first and second place teams have negative run differentials.

Diamondbacks are on pace to lose 117 games. Almost as bad as the infamous '62 Mets who lost 120.

Sox are 8-0 in the Post-Sticky Stuff era.
Stanton is the most glaring example of this - wrapping him in DH cotton wool is hurting the team so much (as, of course, is his brutal contract). Looking back, this "marquee" signing looks more & more like a turning point for a team that appeared to be entering a period of dominance - why blow so much money on someone who does what a whole bunch of others in the lineup are already doing, rather than looking to strengthen in positions of relative weakness?
Jeezuz Ron, every time I turn my head the Mets score 2 more runs.
We seem to have the Braves number. 7-3 Marlins.
^Marlins (generally speaking) have zero offense, but they do have a lot of pitching. They are a tough club to face and are a lot better than bottom dwellers (looking at you, Arizona) in other divisions.
The Braves’ walk-off last night was no cheapie. Max Fried!
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
