Not gonna lie. “Arm barn” is kinda cool. Stupid but still cool.
I had a very similar response - I like "arm barn" as a nickname, like they use "sin bin" for the penalty box in hockey, for example.

But not a fan of PETA at all.

    Congrats Braves.

Congrats to the Braves. It was especially gratifying to see them win in Houston. Too bad the chop had to follow them there.

I was pleasantly surprised how they spanked the Cheatstros on their home turf.

I read a stat that only four pitchers in all of baseball reached 200 innings in 2021.

As a Mets fan - I was rooting for Los Bravos. In Casa Mudshark, we have mad respect for the Atlanta organization, their scouting, in season moves and their ability to decide which home grown talent to retain.

Sometimes, we overcome it, more often not.

But I long for the day when I believe the front office is as competent and stable as the 80s Cashen era or the modern era Cardinals or Bravos. Even the Dodgers were a mess less than a decade ago....

If Cohen can hire into that..... But the entire leadership of the front office has to go...

Yep. And only 5 pitchers hit the 15 win mark as well.

If I were commissioner, I would abolish the "pitchers' wins" stat.

Tigers acquire 2-time golden glove catcher Tucker Barnhart from The Reds. A good move me thinks.

Definitely a good pickup. He's also a quality person.

It’s been a long time since any team I care about won a championship.

Hoping my alma mater, UGA, can make it two in the span of a few months.

Also, I hope the Carolina Panthers find some way to not completely shit the bed. (I should prolly start watching the ‘Canes.)

Honestly, that’s not that shocking. It’s not a good development, but several factors—among them the shortened 2020 season—contributed.

Lots of reasons for this, but let's not forget Manfred's awful rule changes. A big part of it has to do with 7 inning DH and shorter extra inning games with runner on 2nd. There were 833 fewer innings pitched in 2021 than the average from to 2011-19. That’s about 92.5 extra games.

Apparently, MLB is looking to make the baseballs a bit tackier to help pitchers grip better.

They don’t have to do much research. Japanese baseball already has the tacky balls.

Verlander, aged 39 coming off TJ surgery signed with Houston for two years at $50mil.

    Yikes.

Apparently the Yankees offered one year at $25mil.

^ He's married to Kate Upton. He wins no matter the contract.
