^ He's too old to rock 'n' roll and too young to die.

Apparently Jethro Tull is trending on Twitter right now, but I don’t know why. I don’t use or understand Twitter.

It seems to be in answer to a query about songs with flute in them. And then morphed into "why isn't JT in the R&RHOF"? And then complaints about Crest of a Knave winning best heavy metal album.

And lots of people saying JT was their first concert. Thanks for the answer, Halmyre!

My pre-order from Laser’s Edge arrived yesterday. Haven’t had a full chance to dive in, but the package is beautiful and the first disc of the live stuff sounds great.

Sometime next year it'll be a 1/3 of a century of people claiming that Jethro Tull won a Heavy Metal Grammy.

The Grammy story is one that I wish would just die already. Way too much focus on such an inconsequential part of their history, and people still waste interview questions and column space talking about it.

A charge pending notice came to me, with a tracking number sourced from Tucson, AZ, and a delivery date of 4/16. Noice!

Didn't they win a Grammy for Best Metal Instrumental? Or something close to that.

It was "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Vocal or Instrumental," the only year they had that exact category. After the Tull/Metallica debacle, they split hard rock and metal into separate categories.

If he, or "Tull," tours the new record he could call it the "Too old to rock 'n' roll, and this time I'm not kidding" tour.

I usually get a shipping notice from Amazon the day before it's due to arrive. I'm still hopeful I will have it on Friday.

Amazon says mine is shipped and arriving tomorrow by 10pm.

I always hate when they say by 10pm. That usually means it ain’t showing up tomorrow.

Oh yeah, mine says the same. I'm a little worried that the tracking number begins with the letters "TBA." But it looks like Amazon is using one (or more) of their own trucks for the entire delivery process, no USPS or UPS involved, so I think this may actually arrive by 10pm tomorrow. Very exciting.

I also have the new Liquid Tension Experiment CD coming from Laser's Edge today. Nice! Of course, I already have a digital copy of that.

Now, if my buddy would just come through with a leaked copy of the new Motorpsycho my weekend would be all set!
