I don't have a ton of his stuff, off the top of my head I'll have to give EOS, Road, Dark Wood, Skywards, The Sea, The Sea II, Old Friends, New Friends, Window Steps a spin in the not too distant future.

Sad to hear. RIP. I have several of his ECM records and like them a lot.

RIP. I’ll have to spin The Sea this week.

I really only know one album, Eos, the record he made with Terje Rypdal.

Blast. Cello is a brilliant album, IMO, a whole gamut of dark-hued, yet diverse pieces performed with just what it says on the tin. Epigraphs, his second collaboration with Ketil Bjørnstad, is my another favourite. His collaboration with the Wulu Bunun, Mudanin Kata, is also quite unique, even if the collaboration is sometimes rather perfunctory.

    RIP.

RIP, I'm fairly new to his music, but I've enjoyed what I own and heard.

A friend of mine was asking on Facebook about Darling's 8 string cello. He said he had heard about it, but there didn't seem to be much info on the net about. Anyone know any details?

Sad news. I have 3 Paul Winter Consort albums with D.D., saw them live at the Armadillo in the 70's (he was definitely the "stand-out" in that show), several of his ECM solo albums (and other ECM albums that he appears on), and several of his albums that came out on other labels. Will be listening to more of these in the coming days.
