Iron Maiden cover "Genghis Khan" with a prog spin - by Ovrfwrd

Hi everyone, this is a cover of Iron Maiden's Genghis Khan recorded live at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, MN for an upcoming video release. Iron Maiden was a big influence for each band member, and as an instrumental band we knew it would be fun to play.

    "Genghis Khan" - Ovrfwrd

This new Ovrfwrd video project will include songs from our first 2 albums, as well as this Maiden track and songs from our upcoming album. Both the new album and video will be released in 2018.
It was great fun to play Maiden with organ and Moog Voyager! Hope you enjoy!

    Good version!

Would you say it's a little out of your wheelhouse though? You guys kinda look like it is (bass player is using a pick, etc).

Up the Irons! That's a great cover.

Was looking for a different Maiden thread but came across this one in search and gotta say, kudos for delving into the deep tracks to pull this one out. I could have guessed it was a Maiden tune but not the name. Killers doesn't really stick in my brain, kinda like a lost album. Still, it has that signature tempo change that is totally Maiden. The keys would have thrown me off as they almost never have used them. The nod to Where Eagles Dare was a nice touch.

So I picked up the new live one - Nights Of The Dead, Legacy Of The Beast - Live In Mexico City. I had just enough on the gift card left to get the deluxe package. I don't really need another IM live but this is a good setlist and I had nothing else I needed or really wanted so screw it, I'll spend it on something that will gather more dust.

But, it's Frakking Maiden and you just can't go wrong with the Iron's. They always bring it and I'd think Mexico City would also. IM has some really good fans in South America.

Figuring out where I will store this is becoming a somewhat large problem. Got's me a growing pile of cd's and dvd's where some look like cd's which also compunds the problem of finding things when the dvd/bluray and cd's are stored separate from each other.

They just can't make it easy, like the new Transatlantic. I haven't pulled the plug on that one and might not ever. It's a little different situation with what they created but still, why does the packaging have to be so screwy on everything these days?

I'm whining so I'll sort of stop but that bloody double dvd set from Nightwish I've "lost" is so going to possibly be the end of me. Where the hell did I put it? It didn't fit anywhere so I put it where it would fit and I can't remember where that was.
