“Remember, if it doesn't say "Cuneiform," it's not prog!” - THE Jed Levin
Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"
please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
I don't think Henry Cow has anything to lose at this point by going to Spotify.
Btw. Just listened (from CD I assure, no need to lecture me...) In Praise Of Learning today. I love that album so much! "War" especially is so magnificent and perfect. Even though at the same time I wish it could go on little bit longer.

Of course. This means there's more potential for exposure though. Henry Cow were never a group with mass appeal, but there are still people out there who would like them but haven't heard their stuff yet. I'm trying to look at the glass as half-full.
That's my thinking as well.
As is indeed the actual ability to do so, and especially in light of general self-insight: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1159462
Why not just write: "I hate it 'cause I don't understand twat of it, yet I'm proud"?

I love the fact that HC is on Spotify. I can be away from home and still listen to them if I get the itch for their music.
Or play them to someone who could like and understand their music. And maybe later buy it. If you think this is impossible I have already done it a couple of times.
Of course Spotify is evil and we still are in 1985. It was nice back then.
^ It was way more fun in 1975, kiddo.
Now listening: Art Bears: Hopes And Fears (1978)
Now my favourite Art Bears album but some really good songs like "Joan" "Moeris Dancing" and "In Two Minds".

^ "All Hail" was a single (IIRC), also included on the absolutely fantastic Recommended Records Sampler (2LP) in 1982. It's a hard-hitting, grooving, melodious and -binary- tune in style with the ones on The World As It Is Today.

I wonder how C Cutler feels about The Cow now being on streaming? I don't think the ReR label stuff is (not sure though). It ain't going away - that is for sure. Both of our cars (2019) do not have CD players, which just fucking sucks. Its Spotify and BC downloads on the go for me 100% now. CD and vinyl at home.
