Better yet if you can come up with the 8-tracks version.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Rarebird: which Pythagoras is rarer, the one with the nice coverart or the one your friend made? (I have the latter.)
I suppose the original cover-art is a bit rarer. It has a rather funny story to go with it. There is also a cover, my friend made with reversed colors.
When they made the record, they decided to pick some picture made by a British artist, without asking permission. They thought, he was far away and wouldn't notice it. Alase he moved to The Hague, where the group was based. The drummer owned a record-store in the Hague and had put the album on display in his shop. (That's what you do, if you have an album out and own a record-store.) So the artist, who made the art-work passed the shop and was not amused to see his art-work used. So he complained and they asked my friend to create new cover-art. This was the picture with the bird, but black, with a white background. When they had to order a new batch, there was made a mistake, so the colors where switched en it became a white bird and a black background.
The album was featured in a Dutch prog-show, and the next day the shop-owner could hardly enter his shop, because of all the orders.
I have to say, I prefer the bird artwork. I suppose things have been settled with the maker of the original cover, because it was used for the CD-version.
Great story! (Mine is black background, white bird)

Carsten Busch File Under Sympho book (Dutch prog) doesn't even mention Pythagoras.

^ Geezers and vandalism. It's an underreported problem.
