Curious Progatron, do you get physical promos from Insideout or downloads? I used to get the real deal but that changed about 2 years ago. Now its downloads only.

Thanks Progatron. That's what I thought.
I have to say I have a hard time reviewing downloads, partly because I always seen to have loads of physical product to review. I do totally understand why many companies are going the digital promo route though.
What i don't like is the watermarked stuff. Again, I understand why it just sits wrong with me.
Ok, sorry for the derail, back to LTE. I for one can't wait!
I can't wait, either. Awesome news!

I'm anxious to hear this as well, however I will say that I was underwhelmed by John Petrucci's new one, "Terminal Velocity". It didn't grab me like "Suspended Animation."

Laser's Edge has their preorder up as well - https://www.lasercd.com/search_resul...203%20preorder
It's two CDs?! All new material, or is one disc a live show? If the majority of the material is composed, like "The Passage of Time", then I'm in. If it's two discs of all new material then I'd be worrying that there's a significant amount of aimless jamming like on the first two albums. But maybe since they couldn't be in a studio together there won't be any jammed material. Ah whatever, I'm a sucker for this stuff, take my money...
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...
Love that chord progression at 4:04...I wish that they had stuck with it longer!

That was pretty good. Nice to see 74-year-old Tony Levin rocking out .
There was a press blurb that said of the 8 new tracks, 4 are composed, one is the Rhapsody in Blue cover, 2 are duets and one is a jam. Portnoy said this was the same as on the first two releases.
Same? Covers on the 1st two albums?

Went with the Art Book version. Didn't want to do it but it was the only way to get the CDs and the Bluray.
Short interview clip recorded back in August.
I really like "The Passage of Time" much more than that superfast segment they posted as a preview. I'm assuming that's "Hypersonic," so at least forewarned is forearmed.
"Arf." -- Frank Zappa, "Beauty Knows No Pain" (live version)
I just saw this on Youtube today:

I was hoping for a band version of Rhapsody in Blue and here it's "just" Rudess (however don't ask me what type of version I would be expecting from the band).
Does anyone know if this is the version that's on LTE 3

One thing is for sure, the sheep is not a creature of the air.

Band version = fun.
Rudess version, alas, = boring/self-indulgent.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.
I'm pretty sure the Rudess version on YT is the leaked studio version midipiano part only, no other keys or instruments. One may think this is boring/self-indulgent, but it's there though out/underneath the fun version.
