Nosebone, at the beginning of the first track, "Silver Bitches,' is the neighing horse meant to be Silver - the Lone Ranger's horse?
I just ripped the CD and copied it to my phone, so now I can stream away! And no, I won't share it with anyone!
Too lazy to dig through but is this new one available via DL? I'm trying to limit my CD purchases to vinyl only

From the Dutch website XYMPHOBIA:
NEW
Helmet Of Gnats - Afternoon T
- American Wood Pt. 1 & 2
From "Travelogue" (Ambient Records, 2020)
At the end of 2020 the Helmet Of Gnats album "Travelogue" was released. This American prog fusion band has been around since the 80s but only debuted in 1996, after which two more albums were released in 2004 and 2010. The latter two in particular, “Timeslip” and “High Street”, were very popular with us, with music that lies somewhere on the cutting edge of symphonic rock and jazz rock. And just as the line-up of the band has been stable for years, we can say the same about the music. Per album the accent is sometimes slightly different, but the quality of the compositions is always high and the CDs always sound like a clock thanks to the production work of drummer Mark Conese. His drumming style is just as no-nonsense and natural as his production style: nowhere in the foreground. He forms a solid rhythm section with bassist Wayne Zito, who occasionally lets his fretless bass sound nice and buzzingly prominent. It is alternately guitarist Chris Fox and keyboardist Matthew Bocchino who know a spotlight on them. The latter plays frisky solo parts in “Afternoon T”, but also regularly lays a nice wide organ carpet, over which guitarist Chris Fox will be a soloist. At moments like that, like in the end of “American Wood”, we have to think about Bruford's album “One Of A Kind”. But Helmet Of Gnats is mainly itself and that makes up for the long wait for a new album every time.l

^ Nice review!
I've had a few more listens. The organ is having the biggest effect on me - next listen I'll try to focus on the guitar solos a bit more. Albums like this take several listens for me to really get to know, but I definitely like it!
Actually the program is called Xymphonia (no phobic types in the team): http://xymphonia.aafm.nl/jan2021.html
My copy seems to got lost somewhere here in The Netherlands 4 weeks ago.
Oops, yes XYMPHONIA, sorry
CD didn't arrive yet?
I'll send you another one if it doesn't arrive within two more weeks.

[QUOTE=nosebone;1010160]Finally....
Our new release, Travelogue, is now available...
A vinyl release of Travelogue is also scheduled for 2021.
Chris,
Do you have a date/method to order the vinyl yet?
Also, do you plan to have a download code with the vinyl?
(At home I prefer to play vinyl, but in car & office I still use an ipod - i'll wait & order the vinyl if it'll have download, if not then the CD will do fine.)
Thanks,
Greg
