This cover band which includes Jerry Marrota on drums, fits in the Yacht genre with a Steely Dan vibe.
Apparently, there's quite a bit of yacht rock/prog rock crossover. Here, ZT breaks down three examples:

I just listened to the song “Jackie Blue.” I knew the song from AM radio in the old days, but had no idea it was Ozark Mountain Daredevils! Didn’t know I knew any songs by them.
Later Ambrosia fits into that genre. Nice to see Gino recognized.
I "discovered" Firefall last year. They have some songs that can fit into Yacht territory and have some great deep cuts. Their hits are mostly very poppy of course. I remember the hits from my teen years, but I never listened to there albums back then. I did always like the cover art on their self-titled debut album.

Al Stewart started out as Folk, and morphed into FolkRock, and then to Soft Rock, back to FolkRock, and back to Folk.
He's had a long career.

Ok. He seems to be mentioned a lot on here so I figured people would have an opinion on him. I actually just saw a video of him performing YotC on youtube on Cruise to the Edge. That's definitely not a yacht. Too big.

I guess the more I think about it, maybe some of his singles could be in the genre. Something like "Time Passages" might fit, but most of Al's stuff is not what I would call Yacht rock.Ok. I could see how the title tracks of Year Of The Cat and Time Passages, and particularly 'Song On The Radio' sonically would fit within a 'yacht rock' playlist. But otherwise, no. Again, it's like Steely Dan not really fitting in- the lyrics have much more about them.

He had a song called "Midnight Rocks" that also had a bit of a "yacht" vibe. Too much folk in the mix in the other things I've heard from him.
Yes, I listened to that song and thought the same. However the playlist from Apple Music visited several other song on 24 Carrots and I decided if I needed to define a genre for his music, I would call it Europop and Mike Oldfield’s non-instrumental stuff would fit there too.
