That Charlie Haden film is outstanding. One of my heroes, now--more than ever.

+1. Watched it yesterday, and was moved to tears more than once, by his sound, his words, his demeanor, and the insightful commentary of those who knew him best.

Really beautiful, well done documentary. Pity there was no contribution from Dewey Redman - he had passed away two years before the movie was made - also would have liked to see Paul Motian and Geri Allen - but as far as it went it was splendid.

I pasted this from the comments section. 42 minute set. Crystal Silence starts at 21:00.

I tracked this down. It is Return to Forever, Molde Jazz Festival
, Molde, Norway, August 1972 (not 1973). Line up is, Chick Corea, Joe Farrell, Stanley Clarke, Airto Moreira and Billy Tragesser. Tragesser is filling in for Flora who was having a child. Songs are La Fiesta, Spain, 500 Miles High. Recorded by NRK TV.

If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

    Nice stuff.

Question open to everyone...is this group still a going concern?

Jeezus that’s awful - I got to know him quite well in the late 80s when my wife was studying with his then-pianist Harold Danko. He was a lovely man - hilarious, loved food and just loved life and had a bottomless pit of musical ideas. RIP Lee.
