    Ok dudes...

    Sorry, can't really participate for now , partly because I lack time to listen to all the YT (can only on W-E,, but even then, I got to find the time for this... as I'm about two or three pages behind... but I'd like to thank most of you guys for some precious recs

    soooooo, just know I'm around, trying to catch up
    my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

    Dave Liebman is one of my favorite guys lately....Lookout Farm is killer, Drum Ode also deserves mention.

    there is a band in Quebec called Les Projectionnistes that has Bernard Falaise of Miriodor fame as well as Tommy Babin who plays with Gordon Grdinka (I posted a song from his trio on page one or two).

    Great band!!... hope they come back to the west coast. The three Pierre Labbe discs w/ Falaise on them are also worth checking out.

    I have it, and you need it. There was a thread, I think....Wayne's band is the next big progression from the Second Davis Quintet, IMO.

    Has Wayne Shorter ever made a bad album? I doubt it! His huge discography is all over the map stylistically and you're naturally going to like some of it more, but I don't think he's capable of making a bad album.

    That said, the last album of his I've heard (and have) is "Footprints Live." Same band as on the new one and I'm sure they've evolved since, but they were pretty frickin' good then... ten years ago (?).

    They were even better on Beyond the Sound Barrier, and are even better still on Without a Net....if you've not heard them, you should you should!!
