You lucky dog. Only two US shows, and neither is Philly.

Hmmm, NYC is on a Saturday... but that one would mean a $45 festival ticket plus (most likely) triple that for travel/lodging/food. And looking at who's on the ECM list this year, I'm still half tempted to just charge it all anyway.

The wind is shaking the house and drifting snow is causing whiteouts outside of town. Just poured a Bells Two-Hearted Ale and put on Bad Dog U to chill into the weekend.

I dare say that Molvaer is more interesting live than on disc (studio): I sampled his last two albums (Switch & Buoyancy) and it's much more soporific.

I got into the NJO back in the 90s listening to Giraf, China Jungle, and Music From The Danish Jungle. Dorge and his wife are great composers, and Pierre has an instantly recognizeable guitar sound.

Just discovered this guy today - came downstairs to find my wife freaking out that she had found a cross between Bill Evans and Buckethead - he really has an amazing technique and sounds rather Chopinesque at times.
