This is clickbait, but it is also actually a very good list with which in large measure I agree:

I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
Great List....essential, even. I own 'em all.
"And this is the chorus.....or perhaps it's a bridge...."
I counted maybe 15 of them I own, so I can't say I agree much with it (but won't dispute it either)
I'd agree with Cozy, especially when I see that ALS and two Mingus albums are the only Impulse! album on that list (beit from Coltrane or anyone else)
Definitely "The New Thing" deserves a little more than that, IMHO
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
^^
Love both this and Ranjit Barot
Thanks for sharing

Wondered if anyone had any favorite artist on the Clean Feed label?
Thanks Mo, I'll check into them. Saw a bunch for sale the other day. Picked up a couple: Nebulosa by Hugo Carvalhais it had Tim Berne & others on it. And, Steve Adams Trio.
Clean Feed usually runs a big back catalog sale every February, putting nearly everything more than 3-4 years old on sale for about 6 Euros including shipping. A good time to stock up.
Okay, thanks for the tip Brad, I'll look into it.
It's a hit miss label with some duds, some gems, and many average-to-above-average albums. Some of the gems:
Angles 9 (both albums)
Chris Lightcap's Bigmouth - Epicenter
Eric Revis (various albums) such as 11:11
Harris Eisenstadt (various albums)
Made to Break (Ken Vandermark related)
Adam Lane's Full Throttle Orchestra
Scott Fields Ensemble
Sample first when you can. It's the best way to get a sense if the vibe on that album is for you.
WANTED: Sig-worthy quote.
I've bought a few Clean Feed cds over the past few years, as far as i know, the only one i still have is Steve Lacy-Live In Lisbon,a first time cd reissue of a long unavailable oop album.

Fight The Big Bull - All Is Gladness In the Kingdom
Adam Lane's Full Throttle Orchestra - Ashcan Rantings
Empty Cage Quartet - Gravity
Hell, they ain't even old-timey ! - Homer Stokes

Yeah, thanks for the recommends. There was a seller over on Ebay that was selling a bunch of Clean Feed music, but I had not heard of most of it. So for off and on two days I tried to track down some sound bytes to hear. Some you could find on Amazon, others I found a link to on Youtube, and some I actually found thru iTunes, at least enough to give me a good indication. Most all of it was free jazz, and it varied as to what you might expect of free jazz, and then some went off even deeper, and wasn't my thing. A couple of them were just, well, hardly musical, I'll leave it at that. There were many too that weren't on the Clean Feed label. Most of them were $5. a pop, which is a great price, some a bit more. Most of them were recorded in Europe, and I wondered if they might sound inferior or whatever, but since they're CD, I figured it wouldn't matter. Free shipping too. Now the seller has got them back up to $10 each, which makes no sense to me. They didn't sell for $5. so now ask twice as much?
Oh well, if interested here's the link to his eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/letsgo-2it/m...p2047675.l2562
I listened to some of that Natsuki Tamura Quartet. It's quite different for sure, sort of loud, and lots of echo or something, but sounds large. I don't know if that's completely my thing. The Yitzhak Yedid releases were sort of interesting and varied sort of meditative or spiritual in a way. The Steve Adams Trio sound pretty good. That October Trio sounded pretty good too. Another one that sounded interesting to me was that Neil B. Rolnick Macedonia drumming CD. That Susie Hodder & William Caldwell flute CD appealed to me too.
One of the weirder ones was Lori Freedman 3, which is stuff I just don't get, which is just blinks and pops and blips. Too out there for me.
One that was a lot of fun, however, was Garibaldi, The Actis Band, which I'd never heard of, but sort of had some fun in their sound sort of Zappa. Whoever wrote the review for them wrote a good one, you can hear some sound bytes here on Amazon.
