    Also would be hard to play improvisation without lead and response.
    The sax does not play response to the trompet nor does the piano, they just add to the jazz track.

    Never heard of them. Discogs says that this album was on the Calig label. Their following 2 records were on Japo, the label that was later taken over by ECM.

    Secret Oyster they are a Danish Jazz fusion prog band. They split in the 70's but reunited in 2007. I really like them a lot and also find their album Straight to the Krankenhaus, outstanding and bouncy Here is a track from the same album:
