This was one of my Bandcamp Friday purchases - it's maybe slightly pastiche-y - but they absolutely nail that trancy, spiritual, celebratory, incantatory vibe.
Part of my easy routine is just popping on the weekly All New Jazz playlist on Spotify and listen while I'm doing other stuff. Most of the time I'll find at least two or three artists that I'll then mark for future deeper listening. Then there is the stuff that sounds like EDM. Are these real drummers imitating the feel of dance music or are these sequenced? I'm not sure. Some of it is interesting, I guess, as a novelty for me, but I find that my comfort zone seems to be somewhere in the spectrum of Elvin Jones to Lenny White. Like I said, though, it's interesting and different.
As an aside, the only thing that pops up that I can't stand is something that starts with an EDM-like beat eventually leading to someone speaking in a sing-song voice saying something like, "I DREAM of a TIME when the DREAMERS that are DREAMING are DREAMING of a TIME when..." I have no idea what the hell is going on except lousy poetry.

Discovered this one when Charlie Cawood (Knifeworld, Lost Crowns) posted he was joining the band for their next album. London scene modern jazz with double drums, double saxs & tuba. Really rather good.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
