One of the guys behind the J-Jazz compilations gave this such high marks I took a chance. Glad I did.

Thanks! I'll give it a listen.
Yes, I remember that one. Label Bleu had some pretty nice releases, which I first discovered because of Steve Coleman's recordings, but later was got into the releases from ONJ, Magic Malik, Louis Sclavis, Henri Texier, Bojan Z, Michel Portal, and others.

- Inexpressible Infinity by Levitation Orchestra (2019)
"Undoubtedly, one may describe the music they create as spiritual jazz. Nevertheless, the sound of the band eludes restrictive generic conventions due to its progressive deviation. Somewhere between the musicians from Strata-East catalogue, Sun Ra, Alice Coltrane and large bands of Michał Urbaniak from the 70s you can hear fusion and folk inspirations. All this makes Levitation Orchestra one of the most original jazz orchestras on the map of London."

That Coleman vid is sweet. Love that stuff, man. Nothing like it.

Thopugh I salute his Gondwana Records' foundations, I must say that I've yet to find as compelling as his When the World Was One album.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
I have finally got both and there's some really worthwhile material assembled there, but it's not the easiest listen due to the sheer diversity of lineups, dates and styles as well as somewhat lacking sonics (at times). I had to switch the chip in my head to treat it like a compilation and not a approximate representation of a single gig. A bit short on jazz/rock improvising/soloing, but strong on the conceptual side.
Very good stuff overall, thanks for the recommendation!
I like the Comet and the Yazz but I prefer the previous ones by both. But they're all great, two acts that are really scratching my itch at the moment.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Have you tried Maisha, Ian? They're part of the collectives around Hutchings. I think There Is A Place is superb.
Well, Afterlife and the one from April are certainly less "electronica" than their debut
Yup, definitely not as good as La Saboteuse, but still better than her first album (which was too straight jazz for me)... This is a commissioned works with some compositions going as far back as 2015, so I"m hoping for a new album that will really succeeds Saboteuse.
Yeah all three will figure in my top 20 jazz albums of the year, but neither will squat the top 3
Maisha's album is also excellent (or quite good), and from the same crowd, Armon-Jones' brand new one Turn To Clear View is of the same ilk.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
Waiting for the vinyl to hit Bandcamp as the added benefit of portability via digital download is a great value add...this looks to be another terrific entry in the J:Jazz Masterclass series
